About Colette Nkunda
My name is Colette Nkunda, Rwandan-born meditation practitioner, a certified teacher in mindfulness and positive psychology.
I was awarded my teaching Diploma after 500 hours training. I have a popular Facebook Group, which has been running since 2010 but, when I qualified as a teacher, I knew it was time to set up a website of my own because not everyone is on Facebook.
I have been living in Ireland since leaving Rwanda in 1994. I founded Alive Oneness in July 2021 to reach out to more people online, and so that more people could reach out to me too!
My goal is to help others to reconnect with themselves and find inner peace. I look forward to being your teacher.

“Colette Nkunda has a singularly important message of the triumph of eternal peace.
Her sharings of her discovery of this essential peace and of life’s core unity, in the aftermath of inordinate and unfathomable loss, are truly inspiring.
More importantly, they point to a possibility of peace for each individual willing to put to rest their compulsive efforts to understand the incomprehensible and rest in the profound simplicity of being.”

My Story
I have lived through a series of human tragedies - the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 which took the lives of twenty of my extended family members, including my mother and brother, followed by the tragic death of my only child in 2006.
After surviving those highly traumatic events, I am convinced that the practice of mindfulness and daily meditations was instrumental in achieving a renewed sense of living. I have adopted the practice of mindfulness for more than 15 years and I can claim openly its benefits: relaxation, acceptance, calmness, happiness, contentment, spiritual strength, focus and sharp intuition.
The ever-growing number of people adopting meditation and mindfulness in their daily routine is a proof that it allows people to move on with life and accept life circumstances thus improving their wellbeing.

A Connected World
Alive Oneness believes in a world that is connected and that can break free of the cycles of trauma by becoming more open and inclusive. Each of us can stay present and use mindfulness to find inner peace, express self-love and compassion and to remind us of the preciousness of life. Mindfulness enables us to find truth and open our hearts then our innate wisdom is able to shine through our wounds and spreads as ripples around us.
